Piche faces more charges for feeding bears

Allen Piche, the man charged with feeding dozens of black bears around his Christina Lake grow op, has pled guilty to more charges reports CTV BC.
The world’s attention was drawn to the Kootenays in 2010 when police raided a grow op and found dozens of bears hanging around.
Escaped bank robber found passed out on highway

Dennis Haines, a convicted bank robber, escaped from a work-release camp late September and was found this weekend near Christina Lake, passed out on the side of the highway, reports the Vancouver Sun.
Haines, 38, is a minimum security inmate and was working at a work-release program near Jasper, Alta. when he escaped on Tuesday, Sept. 27.
