Arson suspect held in Grand Forks fires

The sun rose on the smouldering ruins of one Grand Forks hotel while another was damaged in two incidents the RCMP say are suspicious, reports the Grand Forks Gazette.

The Grand Forks Hotel was destroyed and the Winnipeg Hotel damaged in two fires. There were no injuries.

A suspect is in custody for questioning and police consider both to be cases of arson due to the suspicious nature of both fires’ origins.
