Randall Hopley, the man accused of abducting a Sparwood boy, has plead guilty to the first of a series of charges he’s facing, reports the CBC.
Hopley plead guilty to a relatively minor charge of violating his parole by not reporting to his probation officer. He received a 30-day jail sentence. Hopley made headlines after Kienan Hebert disappeared from his family’s home in September 2011. The three-year-old boy was safely returned to his home days later. Hopley is facing charges in relation to the boy’s disappearance.
Hopley will make his next court appearance Feb. 20 on charges of breaking and entering, abduction and kidnapping.
