. . . and it looks like there might be enough to drink this summer.
The persistent rain that’s fallen on the West Kootenay region this spring has eased drought concerns for the region, but only by a little bit.
At the beginning of May the West Kootenay were classed as being in a drought level 3 condition (very dry conditions). With all the rain the ministry has been able to drop the “very” and now there’s a drought level 2 condition (dry conditions) in the West Kootenay.
